The virtual pet simulator.
Most pets that you get with Pet Bot can get sicknesses/illnesses.
As of now, there are only 3 which are: heartworm, skin allergies and fleas (click to jump around).
It should be noted that not all of these sicknesses follow their real life properties, some animals in Pet Bot can get sicknesses that they can't in real life, or vice versa. It is very important to take your pets to the vet if you notice their health is getting low.
Heartworm is a real and very serious disease. As of this point in time, it is the leading cause of death for pets in Pet Bot. It is caused by worms that live in the heart and lungs, mainly.
So what does this mean for your pets in Pet Bot? Heartworm is very preventable in Pet Bot. There is a special item called "Heartworm Prevention" that you can give your pets before they even develop it to completely get rid of the chance. In the bots currency, this costs $70 and will completely get rid of any chance that your pet can develop heartworm.
What if my pet aleady has it? If a pet aleady has it, the procedure is much more expensive. Pets that already have heartworm will need to be given the "Heartworm Treatment" item, which is $1000, in the bots currency. Once given the item, it will eradicate the disease and prevent further development.
Skin allergies is the most common sickness as of now. It isn't preventable, but the "Lotion" item will cure it, if your pets currently have it.
Fleas, in Pet Bot, can only be gotten by doing activites with your pet. Fleas are completely preventable and curable as well! If your pet has a flea collar, they cannot get fleas.
What if my pet already has fleas? The flea collar will also get rid of any current instances of fleas, so it's a cure and a prevention.
